Wind turbine grease for low temperatures

Mobil SHC Grease 102 WT synthetic wind turbine grease can protect pitch, yaw, and generator bearings from 248°F (120°C) to as low as -58°F (-50°C). While comparable high performance greases will face solidification challenges at -22°F (-30°C), Mobil SHC Grease 102 WT enables performance at even lower temperatures, which can help:

  • Optimize flow in central lubrication systems
  • Minimize bearing torque during low temperature startups/operation
  • Resist fretting wear, rust, corrosion
  • Maximize equipment uptime
  • Offer enhanced bearing life, long lubrication intervals, mechanical stability, high levels of water resistance

Machine operation integration

CoroPlus, the umbrella name for a new platform of connected tools and software, comprises technologies that can send and/or receive data. The concept makes it possible to reduce data waste and improve manufacturing processes, from pre- to post-machining.

Throughout manufacturing, different groups can benefit from the data including:

CAM programmer – Connection with accurate tool and application data means that recommendations can be adapted to specific tasks.

Operators – machining processes can be monitored remotely, and specific sensor-equipped tools can be controlled to ensure that breakages are avoided and performance is secured with data intelligence collected live throughout the machining process.

The technology includes dashboard solutions, software solutions in CoroPlus ToolGuide and Adveon Tool Library, Silent Tools+ and CoroBore+ cutting tools, and Promos 3+ machine monitoring IoT system.

High-performance milling cutter

MC341 Supreme carbide shoulder/slot milling cutter for extended tool life in steel and stainless steel machining, has a WK40TZ grade coating for enhanced performance.

The cutter features capability for full slotting at 1.5x depth of cut, low spindle load due to a differential pitch, soft cutting action from optimized micro-geometry, and optimal chip evacuation. The MC341 Supreme’s cutting-at-back radius reduces transitions during shoulder milling and it can achieve a high level of process reliability due to its stable core and optimized micro-geometry.

The tool’s DIN 6535 HA tool shank has a special surface treatment for better gripping and the cutters are available in diameters from 6mm to 20mm.
