ESPRIT 2016 features the ProfitTurning high-speed lathe roughing strategy that implements a physics-based cutting engine. Instead of only considering part geometry, ProfitTurning creates the tool path using multiple cutting factors and machine characteristics that impact machining performance. The program improves chip control on hard materials, such as titanium and Inconel. It also reduces irregular cutting forces and vibration tendencies for cycle time reduced up to 50% compared to traditional cutting methods.

ESPRIT 2016 includes increased simulation speed and higher quality surface finishing.

Advanced tool settings in ESPRIT 2016 provide CAM programmers tool management solutions, and additional barrel tool support has also been extended to cover more 5-axis and 3-axis cutting cycles.
